Sort of a tangent here, but this makes me think about where Facebook (or Google for that matter) will be in 10 years.

Right now Facebook is at the top of the internet. And it is undergoing similar growing pains to what happened with Microsoft in the late 1990s. Every day people didn’t understand Microsoft and its huge control of the software industry. But smaller players came along and developed alternatives to Microsoft’s software.

This will likely happen to Facebook, some smaller players will emerge, and maybe one or two even overtake Facebook. But people will generally see through Facebook and understand more what goes on behind the scenes and in the inner workings of the product.

In 2028, maybe people will be writing “I stopped using [New Facebook Alternative] and Went Back to Facebook for a week.”

Good luck with your challenge, and thanks for sharing!
